To the Zoo

As part of our 4th of July week "stay-cation" we went to the LA Zoo.  We decided to go on July 4th thinking it wouldn't be as crowded.  It was still pretty crowded and very hot!  I think Silas still enjoyed it.  We got a good view of some of the animals, and he liked playing in their play area.

Since he had a late nap, we also tried to keep him up for the fireworks.  That didn't work out so well.  We tried watching from Library Park, but they were delayed half an hour and started just as we got back.  We tried watching from the patio, but they were too loud and upsetting.   Maybe a few more years until he's ready.

Science Center

We're off for the week of 4th of July, so we went to the Science Center this morning to see the space shuttle.  Fortunately, the crowds weren't bad and we were able to spend a lot of time looking at the shuttle.  Silas seemed to enjoy it and was excited to see the big rocket.

The Start of Summer

It has been starting to get warm, so we set up the water table on the patio.  Silas, of course, enjoyed the pouring and scooping water.  I'm so glad I found that water table, hopefully we will be able to get some more use of it this summer.
