Steve has some extra vacation to spend, so he took off all last week. It was really nice having him around, and we got to do a lot with Silas.
We went to Jay and Suzanne's on 4th of July for a BBQ, then to the fireworks that night at the park in El Segundo. Silas liked watching Max run around, and was trying his best to crawl after him. Pretty soon he'll be able to keep up. He didn't like the fireworks at all.
Monday Silas had a Dr appointment for his 6 month check up. Dr Wong said he's doing well. He weighs 18 lbs! He's in the 65th percentile for his weight and 70th percentile for his height. Silas had to get three shots, but he handled it like a pro! At least he doesn't have to go back for three more months.
Tuesday we started the Mommy & Me music class. It was really cute, and I think Silas had fun. Silas is still a little too young to participate or understand what is going on, but he seemed to like the teacher, Ms Wanda, and enjoyed watching the other kids.
Wednesday we went to my parents, and my Mom generously offered to watch Silas while Steve and I went to lunch. It was very nice to have a break, and not have to pick a kid friendly restaurant for lunch. My mom said Silas behaved when we were gone, and I'm sure he enjoyed all the extra attention from Grammy.
We finally bought a jogging stroller last week, so on Thursday Steve took Silas out for a run. They just went to the track to test it out, but Steve said it went well and Silas was able to get a nap. We should also be able to use the jogging stroller on the weekends to be able to get some longer walks in.
On Friday we went to Donovan's place for lunch and a play date with Zoe. Zoe is very adorable, and has so much hair. I think the kids had a lot of fun playing together. It's nice that they are the same age and similar developmental stage.
Silas has also been doing great eating solids foods, and he's really starting to get his hips up and be able to "crawl" around a little bit.
Here are some pictures from the week:
