Water Play

Daphne has really loved the water play days at Stephany's so we've also setup the little wading pool for her on our patio.  It has been a great way to beat the heat!

Happy 6th birthday to my baby boy in heaven.  I love you.  Always. 

Visit from Cousin Logan

Walter and Andrea were visiting the area for a wedding, and were able to spend some time with us.  Silas and Logan had a lot of fun playing together.  Maybe next year we could think about a trip to Hawaii.

Summer Break

Eagles Nest summer camp finished the end of July, so Silas has just been going to St John's still 3 days a week.  He has been home Tuesdays and Fridays. 

It has actually been really great to be home with him on Tuesdays, we've been able to do a lot of fun things that are harder to do on the weekends or that we just don't have time for.   There's one more week until Eagles Nest starts, and I'll be home all next week with Silas.  I'm excited for him to start Eagles Nest (I know he misses it), but I'll really miss being able to spend so much extra time with him.

Back to the Aquarium

We signed up as members again at the Long Beach Aquarium this year, and recently went for our first visit.  Daphne was just a baby the last time we went, and she definitely enjoyed this visit more.  It brings back so many memories, Silas was about her age when we first started going.

Bubbles

Daphne's new favorite thing to do is bubbles.  She asks for it frequently, and it's a good outdoor activity to do in the late afternoons before dinner.  Sometimes we take it to the high school, or just play in the 'big area' of our condo.

Silas still thinks it's extremely funny to run from pictures and tells me to try to get him.  He posed for a few, which I am grateful for.  They are both growing up so fast!  Daphne's day care is closed this week for 4th of July, so Steve and I also took the week off work.  After we've both been so busy at work recently, it will be nice to have some relaxation time. 

Summer fun!

Well, Silas made is now done with his first year of school.  The first of many.  After having only year round day care, it's odd to make the transition to the school year calendar.  He will be doing summer camp at Eagles Nest, at least the few weeks they offer it, and stay at St John's until Eagles Nest starts again in September.  He seems excited for summer camp, and is glad to be in the same class as Hunter.  I hope it will be fun for him.

Stephany hired extra staff for the summer and has a good summer program planned for the kids with something different every day.  She even added a gymnastics and dance class, I think Daphne will really like that. 

Still no progress on a house, but we keep looking.  I know we'll find the perfect house when then timing is right.
